He fills the air with his air

By: Leslie Taylor

I have had conversations with several people the past few days, and I am sensing something…like a low level atmospheric depression. Even the most joyful, energetic, purposeful, spirit filled Christians are fighting for their joy and purpose.

I feel the Lord is saying “encourage My children.” Tell them to remain in Me (John 15:4).

Tell them to speak to each other in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs and reach out to one another (Ephesians 5:19-21).

Ephesians 2:2 says the prince of the power of the air fills the atmosphere (air) with his authority.

In essence, the enemy, satan, fills the air with his air.

When you break down this scripture there are two different “airs” .

The first air is “air”….what we breathe…the atmosphere….breathing in and out…respiration.

The second air is “pneuma”…This is a current of air, a breath, a blast. This is breath from a spirit, from something that is alive (holy or evil).

So get this…please don’t miss it! Our authority is what we project into the atmosphere. It is what we speak. That is our authority.

So when the enemy broadcasts his words into the atmosphere, he is exercising authority.

The words we speak are our authority. So let’s fill the air with His air and change this atmosphere.

After all, we are the ekklesia. We are tasked to use our spiritual authority and govern this atmosphere that we are in.

Ephesians 2:10 says that we have become His poetry….so our lives are a WORD. We are a WORD.

So today I purpose to fill the air with His air and love God, love His people, speaking life and encouragement to everyone.

Let’s be the ekklesia and change the atmosphere.
